It works like a charm but... Apr 20, 2008
By Anne I just about gave up because I could not get it to work with my Yamaha P-120 Electric Piano. The LED would flash and the device was recognized by my MacBook but sound could not be transmitted or received. As a last ditch effort I swapped the midi-in and out on the piano and voila'! It works like a charm, all you do is plug it in... no drivers to install or download.

works great Oct 24, 2009
By M. Rissler works great with my old ensoniq sq2 keyboard, very easy to hook up, there are'nt any drivers or programs to install, very fast midi without any lag time. seems like it is well build with aprx. 6 ft long cables, great value for the money
Good cable while it lasted Dec 21, 2010
By Paul Potnuru I bought this cable to connect my Yamaha PSR-540 to my Windows laptop for use with Cubase. The product worked very well with a low latency (once I used the Generic ASIO drivers).
One day, the USB part of the cable (connected to the computer) broke while I moved my laptop without realizing that the cable was still plugged it. Because the USB part is relatively large, rigid, and sticks out, it broke. This would be perfect for a desktop though. I would instead recommend buying a cable where the bulky part of the cable is not connected rigidly to either end of the cable. After I broke this cable, that's what I did and I am happy with it.
