Midi Interface for Garage Band Needed Aug 27, 2010 I found a Casio keyboard at a local garage sale. I purchased this item to interface with my Garage Band software. The item has worked great.
Length was a bit misleading... Aug 02, 2010 The advertised length was 3 meters, but due to the way it's setup it only has a useful length of about 1.8 meters/6 feet, which is a bit disappointing as it doesn't reach my computer. Other than it's great, though.
Works with Ubuntu Linux and Synthesia Jul 27, 2010 It works well. I use it to play Synthesia which I run in Ubuntu Linux (via wine). No setup required worked right out of box.
Works as advertised Jun 01, 2010 I've used this cable with no problems on several different computers running Windows XP, Vista, 64-bit Windows 7 and Mac OS 10.5.8 to 10.6.3. On the Mac you don't even need to install drivers for it. Recommended if you're looking for a simple MIDI interface.
Super excellent piece of Hardware May 21, 2010 I had same experience like one of the reviewers here, and started by connecting the Midi in cable side in the keyboard midi IN and same for Midi out.
and this setup did not work, then i tried to swap the IN from cable side to out of the keyboard and this worked just fine.
i am using a labtop with windows XP proffisional and many music softwares including the old and gold teach me music, all worked fine.
I was not that glad by any hardware i bought more than this little cable which enabled me to connect the labtop to the piano.
thanks EMU.
