Great idea, but latency is an issue Jan 15, 2012
By Alex I bought this product based on a recommendation from a friend. On the positive side, it can help you figure out what effects you like vs. what effects you're not so fond of, and for the money, is a good tool. But it does not come with the STEALTHPLUG USB interface! These are extremely expensive, and you should buy the package that includes it!!!
I bought this to have a virtual stompbox that I could run from my netbook to my amplifier. You most likely will not be able to do this without latency messing up your timing. Your audio settings need to be tweaked, and you will probably need to download some audio driver software to get it to work 'Properly'
Once you get it to run audio, you'll find that there is latency, and a delay. Also, the sound will get backed up and cut out occasionally.
It's a great tool to experiment with sound settings, and can save you a lot of money in the long run by helping you figure out exactly what you need for desired effects. If your computer has a monster processor, it would probably work well. I've just had too many issues with it to suggest it to anybody.
