Out of stock | | | | | | Drumkit From Hell aka DFH was originally created to address Toontrack Music´s own needs for better and heavier drums in music production. As a result the Toontrack production team decided to record a drum library with the best musicians and producers available in Swedish heavy metal.
Little did they know what they had started. Drumkit From Hell was awarded 5 of 5 in Sound on Sound and an EQ Magazine Exceptional Quality award and launched Toontrack Music and the DFH brand in a major way into the sample business enabling the development of the Superior and EZdrummer samplers. To celebrate and signify the importance of Drumkit From Hell Toontrack has decided to re-release it as an EZX expansion pack for EZdrummer.
The DFH EZX contains the essence of what Toontrack is originally all about. The commitment to excellence through collaboration with the best players and producers aimed at helping you to make better, more inspired music. This version of DFH includes both the original DFH release and the Add-On pack that was released subsequently. The sounds for DFH were played, recorded and produced at Dug Out studios by Tomas Haake, Daniel Bergstrand, Mattias Eklund and Fredrik Thordendal. All sounds have been re-mixed at Toontrack Studios by Mattias Eklund and we´ve added custom midifiles from the diabolically gifted musician and guitar player of Meshuggah, Fredrik Thordendal plus midi played by Tomas Haake of Meshuggah, Owe Lingvall of Nocturnal Rites, Mattias Grahn of Naglfar and Efraim Juntunen of Persuader. Metal at its best. Rock on dude. | | | | | |

And now for a review of the actual PRODUCT Nov 26, 2007

These drums sound absolutely incredible. You can't go wrong with any of the expansion packs for EZDrummer (hell, even the Twisted Kit sounds neat), but the Drumkit from Hell is absolutely fantastic. The quality is amazing and the realism is unparalleled.
It's software like this that threatens to make real drums obsolete. Yeah, daring claim. If you don't believe me, go to ToonTrack's website and listen to these drums yourself. Good luck picking up your jaw from the floor.

ROCK ON Aug 10, 2008
By Bruce Horn If you have EXDrummer and you just need to rock harder, this will do it. However, while the number of cymbals is pretty good, the number of drums is limited. You only get one set of toms, and if you are looking for the monster 80's arena rock thunder snare you wont find it here. The snares are more of the dry indie metal type. You can up set double kicks. Think early Metallica or even Rush.

Easy as pie! Jul 22, 2011
By Sean H Toontrack's expansion pack, DFH, is a great addition to a wonderful product. Ideal for those metal heads who need a "heavier" sounding kit, or need more double bass, this is the expansion pack for you!
After install, I was up and running and ready to add some decent sounding drum tracks to my songs. Very easy drag and drop format and plenty of grooves to choose from. Even backbeat and blastbeat grooves. You can create a song anywhere from metal, deathcore, grindcore, and more with these grooves, or you can even create beats yourself. They have special sessions including grooves straight from the talented kits of Thomas Haake, Daniel Bergstrand, Mattias Eklund and Fredrik Thordendal.
It took me no time to create my first song. After a couple of hours recording some guitar and bass tracks, I just had to fill in the blanks with DFH. It took me no more than five hours to have a decent sounding demo to share with friends (and that's with multiple guitar/bass takes, rehearsing, mixing, and more..)
As other reviewers have commented, there are a LOT of cymbals to choose from, but the drums are rather limited, which is why I rated it four stars.
Set up is easy enough - however, you do need to register the product before use. Easy enough, and it only takes a minute. Just copy a couple of codes and fill out some contact info and you'll be good to go.
A great addition at a FANTASTIC price on Amazon, and an especially great deal on shipping with Prime.

I just bought that wonderfull program full of expectations after I saw a video demo on the internet + as a fan of Meshuggah, I really wanted to play with Tomas Haake's drums so I paid 80+bucks +20 for european delivery and what do I get ?
A sleeping program I just can't use.
The authorisation pattern is so complex for nothing, I only got one out of the 2 authorization codes needed so I can't use it and now what ?
Toontrack's customer support REALLY is total junk as the only help I had was an email sayin "go on this website, make an account, pay a couple bucks and they'll help you" yay great buddies, thanks a lot !
Now I payed it and took some time to install it, I gotta find a way to make it work but guess what, I won't pay 80bucks again to have the serials if you see what I mean and ho yeah, I'll NEVER buy a toontrack product again.
